2.75 inch Folding Fin Aerial Rocket (FFAR)

This is an exceptionally complete PRACTICE specimen of the US unguided rocket designed as an air-to-air weapon for interceptor aircraft to shoot down enemy bombers, but primarily saw service as an air-to-surface weapon. Later applications included multi-rocket pods carried by helicopters in the Viet Nam War. Nicely marked and complete with fins, dummy fuze and disassembles into two sections to fit into transport tubes shown. Tubes also nicely marked.
